Recent Fundraisers for Ohio C.O.P.S.

On the night of April 19, 2003, the FOPA in Sandusky, Ohio held its first annual "Casino Night" Fundraiser for the Ohio Chapter of C.O.P.S. $2200.00 was raised for Ohio C.O.P.S.!

On Saturday June 28, 2003 a very dear friend co-sponsored, along with the Warthogs, a motorcycle ride called "Belly's Ride for Those Who Died." The proceeds went to Ohio COPS to help support the work that we are continuing to do here at home. Over 130 bikes with over 200 riders took to the road on a beautiful sunny afternoon. We made four stops before we finished the day. Over $2000.00 was raised for our Chapter. It is people like these that give me hope for all of our survivors. Thank you to all who made this ride so successful. We will be doing the 2nd Annual Ride the last week of June, 2004.

Murder is commonplace in the fake reality of the mass media. However, the drama of murder that we witness on our TV screens focuses on investigations, arrests and courtroom scenes. These programs rarely give us any view of the terrible emotional impact on the survivors of murder and often even the victim is given little attention.
