The new Ohio Memorial License Plate with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Shield with the Rose will go into production after we get 1000 commitments to purchase. Vice President Daryl Zornes and his wife Wilma, an Ohio C.O.P.S. trustee, have secured a primary and secondary sponsor to push this legislation through Ohio's congress. Petitions are available for all to sign and reserve a plate for your vehicle. This is what our new plates will look like. Once these go into production, Ohio C.O.P.S. will be the recipient of the funds from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This money will be used to develop new programs to assist our survivors through their journey of grief. Contact us through this web page to get your petition.
If you agree to commit to a plate through this web page, we will need additional information in order to add you to the petition and to be counted in our 1000 commitment campaign. Please send an email with the additional information to with the following information:
- Full name
- Address, City, State, Zip
- Telephone number
- Current License Plate number
This is the information that is required by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. They are the only ones who will have access to this information. We would like to thank you in advance for helping those left behind by law enforcement's greatest tragedy.
Update as of February 15, 2006 we have the petitions complete. It is pending in legislation and once that is approved we will forward the artwork to the BMV to make the plates.
